It was a beautiful evening in MillenniumPark on August 1stfor Creative Cocktail, an event that brings together Peterborough region entrepreneurs and professionals in the creative economy. Over 130 individuals attended Creative Cocktail, hosted by the Silver Bean Café, to meet other professionals, network and increase business opportunities
Attendees were able to enjoy treats catered by the Silver Bean Café and cocktails made possible by TrentUniversity’s Conference Services. All while enjoying a fantastic view of the water. This was the sixth Creative Cocktail, organized by the Greater Peterborough Area Economic Development Corporation (GPA EDC) every other month at innovative locations. This event gives local creative professionals, entrepreneurs and business owners an opportunity to express why they love to live and work in the Peterborough region.
Last night’s speakers included Michael VanDerHerberg – Host, Cora Whittington – Golden Pathways, Chris Calbury – Emmat Digital, Lloyd Grahm – Peddle and Paddle, Laura VanDerHerberg – Peterborough Poverty Reduction Network, Heather Doherty –Onager and Elizabeth Teleki – GPA EDC’s Business Advisory Centre.
The speeches at Creative Cocktail in addition to the networking and opportunities help the business community understand the creative economy. Each Creative Cocktail is apart of a larger picture that includes innovative ideas, job growth, sector opportunities and much more.
