Friday, March 7th – at 1:30 p.m. the World Day of Prayer, an ecumenical service hosted annually by the women of 5 Bridgenorth-area churches, will be observed at St. Martin’s Roman Catholic Church, 513 Ennis Road, Ennismore. The theme for 2014 is “Streams in the Desert”. Since 1922, the service has taken place in 2000 communities in Canada and in 170 countries around the world, on the first Friday in March each year. The 2014 order of service was prepared by the women of Egypt. An offering is received for projects to benefit women around the world. Refreshments follow the service. All women and men of the community are welcome to attend. The participating churches are Bridgenorth and Fairview United, Gilmour Baptist, Causeway Christian Assembly, and St. Martin’s Roman Catholic Church. Call Mary at 705.292-9273 for more information.
